A Day at Work…Tuesday
Thursday, May 28th, 2009Plan: Go to Collie and Darkan
Early on Thursday morning, I drove to Collie to set up the Better Home Improvements stand in a shopping centre there. We display a full sized attic ladder, speed heat (under tiles, carpet and timber flooring) and the free insulation from the government as well pamphlets showing our other lines of interest. I left a lady to look after the stand while I headed on to Darkan.
My first quote was a little out of town. When I got out of the car I put my (open) clipboard of papers on top of the car while I went to take out my tape measure and ladder. Unfortunately it was a little windy… After I finished collecting my papers from the horse paddock I did the quote for the lovely free insulation.
Next I drove back into Darkan and checked up on an insulation job my installers did a week or so ago – just to make sure the job was done properly. Climbing down out of the man-hole I was reassured that once again it was a job well done. The owners of that house were also greatly pleased with the 25-year Guarantee on our Pink Insulation.
Then it was off back to Bunbury. As I drove I couldn’t help thinking that the government’s free insulation was a hit and that it would give me plenty of jobs for another year or two… It wouldn’t be much longer than that because the offer expires in 2010. I felt pleased that I could give my customers the best offer around because of the 25-year Guarantee on both the insulation itself and the installation.
Coming to the workshop I had a (late J) lunch and then it was off to do another quote this time in just up the road in Carey Park. After that all I had to look forward to was paperwork – which is always there to be done! Monday would be a better day though as I planned to drive down to Eagle Bay to finish off a speed heat job!
